Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

The Sticky Rice Restaurant makes new and classic Northern Thai dishes to pair with specially prepared sticky rice. Borinquen has authentic Puerto Rican cuisine with plenty of Jibarito soda. The Bad Apple is a fun restaurant with craft beer and a game room for patrons to enjoy. Margie's Candies is a famous shop that's part ice cream parlor and part confectionary store overflowing with sweets. The Xurro Churro Factory is another must-see for those who are fans of sweets.
 

Things to Do

Clark (Richard) Park is a 23-acre park with a soccer field, bike park, and a fantastic location on the east bank of the Chicago River. Hamlin Park has a swimming pool, playground, sports courts, and boxing training gym. The Kerry Woods Cubs Field is a baseball field available to the public where high school students can play in front of 1,250 spectators.

Rib Fest is a three-day festival held on the northside where people can sample ribs from local restaurants. The Chicago Fire Rec Soccer is a soccer club offering many clubs and tournaments for locals to join. It's located at Fire Pitch, which has enormous green fields at the players' disposal. Another place for athletics is Bradley Fieldhouse, where kids and adults can enjoy batting cages.
